Jyoti Apparels

Sangam Vihar is a crowded place, and Ratiya Marg is no different. You have to watch where you walk because of the rickshaws and the people everywhere. Jyoti Apparels is located at G8A/281. It is a simple setup we have here. We have been in this building for a good amount of time now. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we are always too busy with the machines to worry about that. Most days the heat in Delhi is tough, but we have some coolers running to keep us from melting. It gets really loud inside when everyone is working at once. There is a lot of cutting and stitching going on from early morning until the evening. We don't have fancy titles or a big board of directors. It is just me and a few others who know how to handle the fabric. We keep our supplies in the back corner and try to keep it organized, though it usually ends up a mess by lunch. The tea stall down the street brings us chai twice a day, which is the best part of the afternoon. We just try to get the orders done on time so the trucks can pick them up without waiting. It is hard work and the hours are often long, but that is just the way this business goes in this part of the city. We keep doing it.
