Jotindra Steel & Tubes Ltd.

B-231 in the Okhla Industrial Area is where you will find Jotindra Steel & Tubes Ltd. It’s a busy part of town, and the roads are usually filled with trucks and tempos moving goods around. We spend our days surrounded by steel and various types of tubes. The air in Okhla is always a bit heavy with the sound of machinery and the smell of industrial work. Inside our space, it’s mostly about managing the inventory and making sure everything is where it should be. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but that isn’t really a priority when there is so much steel to move. We have a small desk area where the phone rings more than it probably should. Most of us have been working here long enough to know the sound of a delivery truck before it even pulls up to the gate. It gets hot in the afternoons, especially during the summer months, but we just keep the fans going and get on with things. There is no fancy reception area or a person in a suit to greet you. Usually, you just find someone on the shop floor or near the stacks of metal. We handle a lot of different sizes of steel products here. It’s a straightforward operation at B-231. We don’t do much besides keep track of the stock and handle the daily logistics that come with being in a place like Okhla.
