Jasmin Garments

You can find us on the third floor of TA-2A in Gali No. 1, which is part of the Tughlakabad Extension. It’s a bit of a long climb up the stairs, especially when we’re carrying heavy bundles of cloth or finished garments. The space itself isn't huge, but it fits our sewing machines and the main cutting table just fine. We spend most of our daylight hours right here. The light is usually okay near the windows if the sun is out. Jasmin Garments is a small operation, and we like it that way. We have a couple of people helping with the stitching and someone else to help with the packing and the deliveries. We do mostly bulk orders for the local shops around Delhi. It’s a very busy neighborhood here in Tughlakabad. There are so many small businesses tucked away in these narrow alleys. We know most of our neighbors and we share a bit of news when we run into each other at the bottom of the building. It’s not the most glamorous work in the world, but it pays the bills and keeps us all busy. We don’t have a website or any of that fancy stuff. People just know where we are located or they hear about us from a friend. We try to keep the quality decent so that people come back to us. If the stitching is strong, the customer is usually happy.
