J. K. Traders

J. K. Traders is right on the Main Road in Govindpuri over at number 93 in the Rampuri area. It’s a very loud spot because of all the rickshaws and buses that go past Kalkaji every minute. Our shopfront is pretty simple and we don’t spend much time decorating it. Inside it’s mostly just stacks of goods and a few desks where we handle the trading side of things. It’s a family-style environment where everyone knows each other’s business. We have a ceiling fan that wobbles a lot and makes a rhythmic clicking sound all day long. Most of our work involves talking to people who walk in or answering the mobile every few minutes. It can get pretty chaotic during the festival seasons when everyone is in a rush. We don’t really have a set routine other than opening up early and staying until the work is done. Sometimes we eat lunch right at the desk while checking the ledgers. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint but we are usually too busy to worry about that. It’s just a basic trading office where we try to stay honest and keep the customers coming back. There isn't any secret to it just showing up every morning and dealing with whatever problems come up that day. It’s a bit rough around the edges but it works for us.
