Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals

Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals is situated right on the Delhi Mathura Road in the Sarita Vihar area. It’s a massive road, so there is never a quiet moment with all the cars and buses rushing past. We are pretty easy to spot because of the size of the place. People come from all over the city and even from outside to get to this location. The lobby is usually quite full of people waiting, and there’s a constant hum of conversation and footsteps. It’s a big operation, but we try to keep things grounded. We have a lot of different departments spread across the floors. The elevators are always busy, and you see staff in scrubs moving quickly from one area to another. It can feel a bit like a maze if you are here for the first time. We’ve got a lot of history on this road. The sun hits the front of the building hard in the afternoons. We don’t really do much to talk ourselves up; the work just happens because it has to. Patients come in with all sorts of problems, and we just try to get them to the right room. It’s a lot of walking for the staff, and the coffee machine in the corner gets a lot of use. That’s pretty much how things go here every single day on the main road. It’s just a hospital doing hospital things in a very busy city.
