Our place is on the second floor of House Number I 74, right in the middle of Batla House. If you are coming through Jamia Nagar in New Delhi, you will see how packed the lanes get around here. It is definitely not a quiet area, but that is just how Batla House is. We operate as Indian Oil Corporation Limiteddelhi from this flat. It is a bit of a climb up the stairs since the building is older, but it keeps us moving. The rooms have high ceilings which helps when the Delhi heat starts to pick up in May. Most of the time, the street noise from the market below comes right through the glass, so you always feel like you are part of the neighborhood. There are students and families everywhere around here because of the university nearby. We do our daily tasks, check the registers, and handle the paperwork without any big fuss. The local chai shops are basically our second office because they are so close. We don't have a big shiny sign out front or anything like that. It is just a regular floor in a regular house where we put in our hours. Sometimes the internet acts up when the weather gets bad, but we just wait it out.
