We run Indian Designs out of the basement at E-85, Basement, Lajpat Nagar-Ii,. Being in a basement might sound a bit tucked away, but we actually like it down here. It stays a bit cooler when the sun is beating down on Lajpat Nagar, and it gives us a quiet place to focus on our work. We’ve been in this spot for quite a while. The space is filled with all the tools and materials we need for our design projects. It’s not a fancy showroom by any means; it’s a working space where things actually get made. You’ll usually find us surrounded by bits of fabric, paper, and whatever else we are using that day. Lajpat Nagar-Ii is a busy place, and there is always something going on just up the stairs. We hear the sounds of the street, but down here at E-85, we just keep to ourselves and get the jobs done. Most of the people who come to see us are locals or folks who heard about us from a neighbor. We don't spend much time on fancy talk. If someone needs a design, we talk about what they want and then we try to make it happen. It’s a straightforward process. Some days are long, especially when we’re trying to finish something up, but we don't mind. It’s just how we earn our living. If you’re looking for us, just head down the steps at E-85 and find us.
