Iden Advertising is up on the second floor at 6-B in Taimur Nagar. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, and the building isn't the newest one on the block. We are right by the Taimoor Nagar Gurudwara, so we hear the prayers and the music throughout the day, which is actually quite nice. The office is full of desks, old computer monitors, and stacks of paper everywhere. It’s not one of those slick agencies you see on TV. We deal with a lot of ink, printing, and phone calls. The windows look out over the street, which is usually packed with rickshaws and people walking to the market. Sometimes the electricity goes off and we all just sit there waiting for the generator to kick in so we can finish the designs. It gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of materials piled up. We mostly drink tea from the small stall downstairs. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy to worry about that. It’s a regular workspace with people tapping away at keyboards and talking about layouts. We’ve been in this spot for a while, and the neighborhood knows us. It’s just a practical place where we get through the daily tasks. You can hear the sounds of the Gurudwara even when the windows are shut, which keeps the atmosphere calm despite the daily work stress and deadlines.
