Out here in Okhla Industrial Estate Phase I, things move at a different pace. Our office, Archna Advertising, is over at C 78, right near the Okhla Post Office. If you’ve ever walked around here, you know it’s mostly warehouses and small units. We’ve been set up in this spot for years. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy with the actual work to worry about the decor. We handle a lot of the local print jobs and signage that you see around this part of Delhi. There’s a constant hum from the machines in the back room, and the smell of ink is just part of the furniture now. We aren't some big agency with suits and glass boardrooms. It’s mostly just a few of us sitting at desks piled high with paper proofs and old samples. When the post office workers go on their break, we usually see them heading past our gate. It’s a practical space for practical work. We take orders, we get them done, and we try to make sure nobody’s name is spelled wrong on the final banner. Sometimes the tea guy misses our floor, which is a bit of a disaster on a Tuesday afternoon. We just focus on getting the day's tasks finished before the traffic on the main road gets too backed up for the commute home.
