Our branch is tucked away at M 50 in Haji Colony, specifically inside Gaffar Manzil. This part of Jamia Nagar in Okhla is always crowded and full of life. It’s New Delhi 110025, so you can imagine the narrow lanes and the constant sound of rickshaws outside. We have been operating from this spot for some time now. The building is an old one but it stays cool enough in the Delhi summers. Most of the people who come in live right here in the colony or are students from the nearby university. We don't have a huge staff, just a few of us who handle everything from deposits to basic paperwork. Sometimes the tea man comes by and we take a quick break, but mostly we are at our desks. It gets quite busy on the first of the month when everyone gets their salaries. The address can be a bit tricky for newcomers to find if they aren't used to the layout of Okhla. We spend a lot of time explaining things to older folks who aren't comfortable with the new machines yet. It’s just how things go in a neighborhood like this. We don't use any big fancy words here. We just try to help out the neighbors with their banking needs and keep the records straight. It’s a busy, dusty, but very real place to work every day.
