Icici Bank

This branch of ICICI Bank is found at Flat No 4-B in Pocket A-13 of Kalkaji Extension, New Delhi. It’s an interesting spot because we are basically inside a residential block. It doesn't look like a big bank from the outside, which sometimes confuses people who are visiting for the first time. Inside, it’s a cozy, functional space where we handle all the daily banking tasks. The neighborhood is mostly quiet, with a lot of families who have lived here for years. We get a lot of retirees coming in to talk about their pensions or just to update their passbooks. It’s a slower pace than the branches in the main markets. We have a few desks and some benches for people to wait. Sometimes we run out of forms and have to wait for the new batch to arrive, but we make do. The staff is small, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, from answering the phone to counting cash at the counter. We don't have any polished corporate speeches. We just talk like regular people and try to solve whatever problem someone brings to us. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons when the sun hits the front of the building, but we have the fans going. It’s just a normal part of the Kalkaji community, serving the local residents without any big fuss.
