Our branch is right on Muradi Road at F-17/5, near Batla House in the Jamia Nagar area of New Delhi. If you’ve ever been to this part of town, you know how narrow the roads can be and how much energy there is everywhere. There are shops, students, and families moving around constantly. Our office is a small escape from the heat and the noise outside. It’s a very lived-in space, nothing like those fancy bank buildings you see on TV. We have simple furniture and a lot of files piled up on the side. Every day is a bit of a challenge with the crowd, but we’re used to it. We deal with all sorts of people, from local shopkeepers to students from the university nearby. There’s always someone asking for help with a form or a transaction that didn't go through. We don't have a lot of room to move around, so we stay at our desks and try to get the work done as fast as we can. The smell of street food usually wafts in when the door opens, which makes us hungry before lunchtime even starts. We aren't trying to be anything special; we’re just a local branch where people can come to handle their money. It’s busy, it’s noisy, and it’s a bit messy sometimes, but that’s just how life is in Batla House.
