Our office for Housing And Urban Development Corporation is tucked away in Chittaranjan Park, specifically at I 1715. If you've ever spent time in South Delhi, you know CR Park has its own rhythm. We’ve been operating out of here for quite some time now. It’s a busy part of the city but our street stays relatively calm compared to the main markets. We deal with a lot of paperwork regarding city planning and housing stuff. It isn't always exciting work, but it needs to get done. There are a few of us here most days, answering phones and sorting through documents that come in from all over. The office isn't anything spectacular to look at, just desks, computers, and a lot of files stacked up. We usually grab lunch from one of the local spots nearby. Being in Delhi, there's always something going on outside, but inside we just focus on the tasks at hand. We aren't trying to be the biggest or flashiest thing on the block. We just provide a place where these urban projects get organized. Sometimes the internet acts up or the printer jams, just like any other workplace. We’ve gotten used to the quirks of the building over the years. It’s a practical space for the kind of administrative work we handle daily. We keep things moving as best as we can without much noise. It’s a bit dusty in the corners but we call it home and it works for us.
