Our office for Hindustan Times and HT Media Ltd is located at A-270 in Shivalik, Malviya Nagar. New Delhi-110017 is a very busy part of the city, and our building is always full of activity. Since we are in the media business, there is never a dull moment. The desks are constantly piled high with newspapers, printed drafts, and notebooks. It is a bit of a messy place because everyone is usually rushing to meet a deadline. We do not have the time or the interest in making the office look like a polished corporate showroom. It is a working environment where the focus is on the news and the logistics of getting it out. Malviya Nagar is a central spot, which helps us stay connected to what is happening around Delhi. We have been at the Shivalik address for many years now. The air conditioning sometimes struggles during the peak of the Delhi summer, so we have a few extra fans around the room. It is a fast-paced and sometimes stressful job, but we are used to the noise and the constant ringing of phones. We drink a lot of tea and coffee to keep ourselves going during the late hours. We are not here to sell ourselves with fancy words. We are just here to do the work that needs to be done for the paper and the company every single day.
