Phoenix Recruiting Agency is tucked away in Jamrudpur, over here in Kailash Colony. If you know the area, you know finding 26 A can be a bit tricky the first time because of how the lanes are laid out. We’ve been operating from this space for several years now. It’s a quiet enough street most mornings until the local shops start opening up. Inside the office, it’s mostly just us sitting around our desks, making calls to different companies and talking to people who are looking for a change. We don't have a big reception area or a secretary out front. Usually, whoever is closest to the door just opens it when someone knocks. There’s a small fan that wobbles a bit in the corner, but it does its job during the summer. People come in from all over the city, sometimes looking quite tired from the long commute. We sit them down and talk about what they can do. It’s not always easy, especially when the market is slow, but we keep at it. We’ve lived near this part of Delhi for a long time, so we know the shortcuts and where to get the best lunch nearby. It’s just a normal office where we try to get things done without too much fuss. Sometimes the phone doesn't stop ringing and other times it's dead quiet. That's just how the recruitment business goes for us here in Kailash Colony. We stay until the work is finished.
