Selective Placement Consultants

Our office is down in Okhla Industrial Estate Phase I, at B-176/2. It’s an industrial area, so there’s always trucks and noise around. Selective Placement Consultants is what we call ourselves. We deal with a lot of hiring for different companies in the area and beyond. The building is solid and practical. Inside, it’s just us and a lot of filing cabinets. We don't have fancy decor. Just some calendars on the wall and a clock that’s five minutes fast. Working in Okhla means you get used to the dust and the constant activity. It’s a busy place. We spend our time matching people to jobs. It’s a lot of reading and calling people back. Sometimes the phones don't stop ringing. Other times it’s dead quiet. We have a small pantry where we make tea. The biscuits are usually stale, but we eat them anyway. We’ve been at this location for a good bit now. People find us because they need work or need workers for their factories. It’s basic stuff. We aren't trying to change the world. We just want to make sure the positions get filled. The walk from the main road can be a bit long in the summer heat. But we are here every day regardless. It’s just a normal workplace. We know the security guards at the gate. Everything is very routine. We like the stability of it. The ceiling fan wobbles a bit but it works.
