Hind Khadi Gram Udhyog Bhawan

Hind Khadi Gram Udhyog Bhawan is tucked away on the 2nd Floor of M Block, Building No 21/14 B. We are in the Batla House area of Jamia Nagar, right behind Kinnar Apartment. It’s a bit of a climb up to the second floor, but it’s quieter up here than down on the street. We deal mostly with khadi and other village industry products. The rooms are filled with the smell of fabric and sometimes a bit of dust. It’s not a modern showroom with bright lights. Instead, we have shelves piled high with different materials. We spend a lot of time folding things or checking the stock that comes in from different places. Jamia Nagar is a very busy area, so once you step inside our building, it feels like a different world. We don’t really do much advertising. People mostly come to us because they know we’ve been here for a while. It’s a simple setup with a few desks and a lot of storage space. We handle the paperwork ourselves and talk to the people who come in looking for specific types of cloth. It’s honest work, and we don’t try to make it sound like anything else. Sometimes the stairs are a pain when we have heavy bundles, but that’s just part of being in this building. We just keep things running as best as we can every single day.
