Hari Chutney

My name is associated with Hari Chutney and we are based at 23/1 in Saket. It’s a small operation here. We don’t have a lot of room, but we make it work. Saket is a nice part of the city to be in. Being at 23/1 means we are close to a lot of other businesses and homes. Every morning starts with getting the ingredients ready. There’s a lot of chopping and mixing that goes on. We don't use big machines for everything; a lot of it is done by hand. The smell of fresh herbs and spices is always there. Some days are really busy and we struggle to keep up. Other days are quiet and we spend time cleaning the floors and checking the stock. I don’t have a fancy website or a marketing person. I just handle things myself. People find out about us mostly by word of mouth. Someone tries the chutney, likes it, and tells a neighbor. That’s how it goes in a place like Saket. I’ve been at this address for some time and I’ve gotten to know the delivery guys and the people who live nearby. It’s a simple business. We don't try to act like we are bigger than we are. Just Hari Chutney, sitting here at 23/1, doing what we do every day. It’s hard work, but it keeps me occupied and pays the bills. Sometimes the power goes out, but that is just part of the job.
