Our office is at M-54 in Batla House, Jamia Nagar. It is a very crowded and lively part of New Delhi. There are always people on the streets and the sound of rickshaws outside our window. The office itself is not very big. We have squeezed in as many desks as we can to make room for everyone. We have been at this address for a long time. There are files everywhere, some on the shelves and some just stacked on the floor. We do a lot of our work on the phone and through email. It is a busy place to be. We don’t have a fancy lobby or an elevator. You just walk up and we are there. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit and talk until the generator starts. We usually get our lunch from the local shops around Batla House because the food is very good and cheap. It is a very local business. We know the people in the neighboring offices. We don’t have any polished marketing materials. We just tell people what we do when they ask. It is a lot of hard work and long hours, but we are used to it by now. We just focus on getting through the pile of work on our desks every single day.
