Guru Harkishan Hospital

Our hospital is located near Ashram, right on the Ring Road at Bala Sahab. It is a very central spot, which means we get a lot of people stopping in who are just passing through, as well as the locals who live around Ashram. Guru Harkishan Hospital isn't trying to be a luxury hotel. It is a medical facility, plain and simple. The rooms are set up for care, and the equipment is there to do a job. We have a lot of different people working here, from young nurses just starting out to doctors who have been here since the doors first opened. The noise of the Ring Road is always there in the background, but inside, we try to keep things as orderly as possible. It’s a place where things are done practically. If someone needs a bandage, they get a bandage. If they need more, we figure it out. We don’t use a lot of big marketing phrases because they don't really help anyone get better. The floors are cleaned regularly, and the lights stay on all night. People come to us at all hours because emergencies don't have a schedule. It’s a bit of a marathon for the staff sometimes, but that is the nature of the work. We are just here at Bala Sahab, doing what a hospital is supposed to do for the community. We take it one patient at a time and move forward.
