Grindlays Engineers

Grindlays Engineers is situated at B-71 in Phase I of the Okhla Industrial Estate. Being in an industrial area means our day-to-day is a bit different from a high-street shop. We deal with more technical and engineering-side things related to communications and electronics. The space is more like a workshop than a store. We have benches, soldering stations, and a lot of testing equipment scattered around. It’s not the kind of place where you come to buy a phone case. People come to us when they have actual technical problems that need an engineer’s eye. We’ve been in Okhla for years, and we’ve seen the estate change quite a bit. It’s a lot of concrete and trucks around here. Inside, it’s mostly the sound of tools and the hum of the machines. We’re a small team, mostly just a few of us who have been doing this for decades. We don’t really do retail in the traditional sense. It’s more about fixing specific parts or consulting on small electronic projects. It’s greasy and dusty work sometimes, but it’s what we know. We don't have a front desk person; if you walk in, one of us will just look up from our bench. We like the practical nature of being in the industrial estate. It suits the way we work. Simple, honest engineering without any of the fluff you find in malls.
