Goenka Engg & Industrial is located at 44, DDA Commercial Complex in Zamrudpur, which is near Kailash Colony Extension in New Delhi. DDA complexes have a very specific look—lots of concrete and small offices packed together. We have been in this spot for years. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are too busy to worry about that right now. We deal with engineering and industrial supplies. It’s a lot of logistics and checking inventories. Delhi is a city of extremes. It’s either freezing or boiling, and the dust always finds a way into the office. We have old metal cupboards full of records and catalogs. We aren't a high-tech startup. We are a traditional industrial business. We talk to our customers on the phone or they drop by for a chat and some chai. We don't have a polished sales pitch. We just tell people what we have in stock and how long it will take to get it to them. Our staff has been around for a long time. We know the regulars by name. It’s not a fancy corporate life. It’s about getting the right parts to the right people at the right price. We stay open late when we have to, and we take our Sundays off. That is the way we have always done things here in Zamrudpur. We keep the shop running through all of it.
