Globe Fashions

Globe Fashions is located at 4-C, Jamals Suumiah on Kumarappa Street. We are right in Nungambakkam, which is a busy part of town. Our space isn't huge, but we make use of every corner. There are clothes and fabrics sitting around on most surfaces. We’ve been here at No 30 for a while and have seen the street change a lot over the years. It’s a bit of a walk-up, but people find us eventually. We don't really have a fancy showroom with mannequins in the window. Mostly, it’s just us working on orders and chatting with people who drop in. The lighting isn't the best, but we get the job done. Sometimes the stairs are a bit narrow when we're carrying boxes up or down. It’s just how the building is. We do our best to keep things organized, though it gets a bit messy when a big shipment of cloth arrives. Nungambakkam can be crowded, so parking is always a bit of a gamble near Kumarappa Street. We just focus on the clothes and getting them out the door. It’s a simple business. We aren't trying to be some high-end boutique. Just a regular place where we work with fabric and thread. You’ll usually find one or two of us at the back tables with scissors and tape measures. It’s been our home for a good stretch of time now and we're used to the rhythm of the neighborhood. We don't have a big corporate team.
