Globe Exhibitions & Conference

Our office is situated in Shivalik, under the name Globe Exhibitions & Conference. Shivalik is a decent, central-enough place to be based. We’ve got a workspace that is mostly full of floor plans, badges, and boxes of brochures. When you’re in the business of exhibitions and conferences, there is a whole lot of physical stuff to keep track of. It’s not a polished corporate headquarters. It’s more like a workshop where we piece together the plans for various events. We spend a lot of time on the computer looking at layouts and then even more time on the phone with vendors and venues. The office can get quite messy when we are in the middle of a big project, with papers everywhere and half-empty tea cups on the desks. We don’t have a mission statement on the wall or anything like that. We just focus on getting the booths set up and making sure the speakers have what they need. Some days we are out on-site more than we are here in Shivalik. When we are here, it’s about doing the boring but necessary admin work. The team is pretty down-to-earth, and we don’t really go in for big presentations. We just do the work as it comes. It’s a simple, practical way to run a business, and it’s served us well enough so far. We like the local area and the fact that we can just get on with our jobs.
