Fortune Enterprise

Down in Abul Fazal Enclave, life moves at its own pace. Our place is at E-48 in Jamia Nagar, tucked away where the streets get a bit narrow. We’ve been running Fortune Enterprise from here for quite some time. It’s mostly just us handling the daily orders and making sure things get delivered to where they’re supposed to go. The office is small, mostly filled with filing cabinets and a couple of computers that have seen better days. We get a lot of people from the university area dropping in or calling about various bits of business. It’s usually a bit of a squeeze when we have a lot of stock arriving at once. You have to be careful walking through the middle aisle because there’s almost always a box in the way. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. The neighborhood is lively, especially in the evenings when the food stalls start opening up nearby. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit by the door to catch the breeze until it comes back on. The street outside is always full of people going to the mosque or the market, so there’s a lot of noise that comes through the open door. It’s a basic operation, nothing too complicated. We just focus on getting through the list of things to do each day and keeping the paperwork straight.
