Merchant

My office is located at G-1 /213 in Charmwood Village. It’s a nice enough area in New Delhi, zip code 110044. I’ve been working as a merchant here for some time now. The space is part of a larger complex, so there are always neighbors around. It’s not a huge storefront with big displays. It’s more of a practical office where I handle my trade and keep track of my inventory. The desk is usually covered in invoices and little scraps of paper with notes on them. I try to stay organized, but it gets difficult when things move fast. There’s a small kitchen area in the back where I make tea in the mornings. The walls are a plain white, and I haven't really put any pictures up. It’s a place for work, not for looking pretty. Sometimes the delivery guys have trouble finding the right entrance because the numbering in Charmwood can be a bit confusing. I usually have to step outside and wave them down. The air feels a bit fresher here than in the center of the city. I spend most of my day sitting at the computer or talking to suppliers. It’s a simple setup, but it’s mine. I don't need a big corporate headquarters to get things done. I just need my phone, my ledger, and a bit of quiet to think. It makes the place feel more like a real community.
