Food Centre

Our place, Food Centre, is located at the Community Centre in East Of Kailash, right at 31 / 1. It’s one of those spots that’s been around for a bit, mostly serving the people who work in the offices nearby or live in the blocks around here. We aren't doing anything fancy with the decor. The menu is full of the stuff we know how to cook well—dal, roti, some rice dishes, and the usual snacks you find in the city. The kitchen stays hot throughout the day, especially during the lunch rush when everyone comes in at once. We have a few tables inside, but they fill up fast, so a lot of people just take their food back to their desks in plastic containers. We don't have fancy uniforms or a big sign outside, just the name and the food. Sometimes we run out of certain items by the afternoon because we only cook so much each day. It’s better that way so nothing goes to waste or stays overnight. The staff is mostly guys who have been with us since we started. We know how people like their tea and who wants extra spice in their gravy. It’s a simple business, really. We get the vegetables from the market early and start the stoves before the sun is fully up. It’s just about getting through the day and making sure the food tastes like it should. We’re just a regular part of the community centre landscape.
