Ferrous India

We have been operating out of K-97 in Hauz Khas Enclave for a while now. The name Ferrous India sounds a bit formal, but really, it is just a group of us working with metal and steel day in and day out. Being in this part of Delhi is interesting because the neighborhood has changed a lot over the years, but our little corner remains pretty much the same. Most mornings start with checking the inventory and seeing what needs to be moved or sorted. It gets quite dusty sometimes, especially when there is heavy work going on nearby or the wind picks up. People stop by asking about different grades of iron or just to see what we have in stock for their own projects. The office isn't anything fancy, just a few desks and a lot of paperwork piled up in corners. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers or trying to figure out the best transport routes through the messy city traffic. It is a bit of a squeeze sometimes when a large order comes in, but we manage to get things done. You can usually find one of us sitting near the entrance of K-97, probably drinking tea and looking at the street. We don't really do much in the way of big announcements or fancy signs. It is just steady, practical work that keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down. Sometimes the neighbors complain about the noise, but that is just part of it.
