Fashion International Inc operates out of T-3 in the Okhla Industrial Area, Phase-Ii. It’s a busy part of Delhi, and the traffic getting here can be a real headache in the mornings. Our unit is basically a large hall filled with cutting tables and sewing stations. It’s not some high-end studio with mood lighting. We have bright tube lights and a lot of fabric rolls stacked against the walls. We do a lot of work for different labels, mostly stitching and finishing. The guys on the floor are usually busy with their irons or checking the seams. Sometimes the samples take a few tries to get right, which can be frustrating, but we eventually figure it out. We started this because we knew how to handle fabric, and it grew from there. The tea breaks are the best part of the day when everyone gathers outside near the gate. We don't have a big reception area or anything. If you come by, you’ll probably just see us moving boxes or checking the inventory. The machines are old but they still run well if we oil them regularly. We try to stay on top of the orders so nothing gets backed up. It’s just a regular factory life, making sure every piece is ready to go out on time.
