Family Clinic

Family Clinic is tucked away at E- 158 in Kalkaji. Kalkaji is one of those neighborhoods where you have the very busy main roads and then these quieter residential blocks. We are in one of the quieter parts, though 'quiet' is a relative term in Delhi. Our clinic isn't very large, it’s basically just a ground floor space that we've converted to help the local residents. We’ve been at this address for a while now, so most of the people in the E-block know where we are. We don't spend money on big signs or bright lights. Most people find us just by walking past or hearing about us from a neighbor. Inside, it looks like a typical neighborhood clinic. There’s a desk, some files piled up, and a few benches for waiting. The paint is peeling a little bit in the corner near the water cooler, but we keep the medical areas clean. It’s a very straightforward operation. We don't have a mission statement hanging on the wall or anything like that. We just show up in the morning, open the shutters, and wait for the first patient. Sometimes it’s a busy day with back-to-back people, and other times it’s slow enough that we can sit and have a cup of tea. It’s a local business run by local people who just happen to know a bit about medicine and healthcare and we try to treat everyone like a neighbor who just needs some help.
