If you come looking for us at W-111 in Greater Kailash, you’ll have to head down to the basement. It’s a bit cooler down there, which is a relief when the Delhi heat starts picking up in May. Being in the basement means we don't get much of a view, but it keeps us focused on the work. We deal with various market things, and there’s always a stack of files or products waiting to be sorted. The space is a bit tight, especially when we get new stock in, so we have to be careful not to trip over each other. Above us, you can hear the sounds of the street and people walking by. We usually go out for a quick bite at one of the local spots in GK when we get a chance. The lighting inside is all artificial, so sometimes we lose track of time until someone realizes it’s dark outside. We’ve got a small pantry area where someone is usually heating up lunch. It’s a humble setup, but it suits what we do. We don’t really bother with expensive furniture or anything like that. Most of the chairs are mismatched, and the shelves are packed to the ceiling. It’s just a group of us trying to keep the business running smoothly. It gets a bit damp when it rains heavily, but we just put out some buckets and keep going. We've been in this basement for a long time now and it feels like home.
