We are located at 148 in Sukhdev Vihar. It’s a relatively quiet residential area, which is nice when we’re trying to focus on our work. The office is just a regular building among others on the street. We’ve been operating out of this spot for quite some time now. Most of our day is spent coordinating with different groups across India. There’s always mail arriving or someone heading out to a meeting. The rooms are filled with shelves of documents and reports related to trade. It isn’t the kind of place with modern glass walls or high-end furniture. We have some sturdy wooden desks and chairs that have been with us for years. The atmosphere is generally calm, though things can pick up when we have a forum meeting or a special project. We mostly just drink our chai and get through the list of things to do. Sukhdev Vihar is a good location because it’s well-connected, even if the traffic nearby can be a bit of a pain during peak hours. We don’t use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do here. It’s basically about organizing and making sure people are connected. There are a few trees outside our window that we look at when we need a break from the computer screens. It’s an honest, simple setup, and it suits the kind of work we do every day without any extra fuss.
