You have to head down into the basement at 18 Vino Bapuri in Lajpat Nagar II to find us. Est Consultant isn't visible from the main street, so people usually have to look for our small sign near the stairs. Being in a basement means we don't get much natural light, but it stays a bit cooler during the harsh Delhi summers. The office is basically a long room filled with desks and a lot of old files that we really should probably digitize one day. We do a lot of consulting work, which mostly means sitting around and talking through problems with clients until we find a solution that works for them. Lajpat Nagar is always noisy and crowded, so even down here, you can hear the muffled sounds of the market and the honking cars. It gives the place a certain energy, even if it’s a bit distracting when you’re trying to focus on a complicated report. We aren't a big firm with hundreds of employees. It’s just a few of us who have been working together for years. We know each other’s coffee orders and who is likely to forget their keys. Our workspace is a bit cluttered with books and half-empty notebooks, but we know exactly where everything is. It’s a functional, down-to-earth environment where we just get on with the business of helping people with their projects. It’s not glamorous, but it is what we do every day.
