Esi Hospital E S I is right in the heart of Okhla Phase-1 and it is a pretty straightforward place to work. We spend our days mostly looking at files and helping people figure out which room they need to go to. Since we are in such an industrial area, a lot of our visitors are people who work in the factories nearby. They usually come in with their blue books or ID cards ready, and we try to get them through the process as fast as we can. It is not a very quiet building, there is always the sound of footsteps on the stairs and the tea stall guy outside calling out. We don't have any big corporate offices here, just some desks pushed together and a lot of filing cabinets that are probably too full. Some of us have worked here for years and we've seen the neighborhood change quite a bit, but the hospital stays pretty much the same. We just provide the basic stuff people need and don't try to be anything we aren't. Sometimes the computers are slow and we have to write things down by hand, which takes longer, but nobody seems to mind too much as long as they get seen. It is just a regular local hospital doing what it can for the folks in Okhla. We go home tired but it is decent work for decent pay and that is enough for most of us.
