Ernst Young

You can find us at the top floor of M 27B in Malviya Nagar. Being up here gives us a bit of a break from the noise of the street in New Delhi. Ernst Young is the name on the door, though it’s a pretty small office compared to what you might expect. We’ve got a few desks pushed together and shelves full of old folders that we still haven't moved to digital. It’s a bit cramped when we have a lot of people over, but we make it work. Most of our day is spent looking at tax laws and filling out forms for folks in the neighborhood. Malviya Nagar is a lively place to be, and there’s always something happening downstairs. We like being centrally located even if the stairs are a bit of a climb. There’s no elevator here, so we get our exercise every morning. We aren't big on corporate talk. We just tell you what the situation is and what needs to be filed. Sometimes the air conditioner makes a weird rattling noise, but it keeps us cool enough during the summer months. We drink a lot of tea while we go through the ledgers. It's honest work, and we’ve been at it for a while. We don't promise anything fancy, just that we will put in the hours to get the books settled. Usually, we wrap things up when the sun goes down and head home like everyone else.
