Ernst Young

Being in Pamposh Enclave means we are right in the middle of Greater Kailash 1. It’s a pretty well-known area in New Delhi and our office at D 32 is easy enough to find once you get into the lanes. Ernst Young has this space here where we spend most of our waking hours. The atmosphere in GK1 is always a bit different, more residential but still very fast and active. We have some trees outside the windows which is nice when you need a break from looking at the computer screen all day. The work here is steady and keeps us occupied from morning until evening. We don't spend a lot of time on fancy decorations or trying to look like a corporate brochure. The desks are often a bit cluttered with papers and calculators because that’s just how the work goes for us. Lunch breaks usually mean someone is bringing food from one of the nearby markets or we are just sharing what we brought from home in our tiffin boxes. It’s a mixed group of people working here. Some have been around for years and know every corner of this building, while others are newer and still trying to figure out the shortcut to the metro station. The summers are tough in Delhi, so we really rely on the cooling system to keep us going through the afternoon slump. It’s a practical place. We focus on the numbers and the documents we have in front of us.
