Emblem A Boutique Hotel

You can find us at E-5 in Kalindi Colony, right on the main road near New Friends Colony. Being a boutique hotel means we aren't one of those massive buildings with hundreds of identical rooms. Emblem is a bit more compact and has a different feel to it. The location is pretty good because it’s on the main road, so it’s easy to tell taxi drivers where to go. We have people coming in and out at all hours. The lobby isn't huge, but it gets the job done. Our staff usually knows most of the guests by name after a day or two. It’s not a corporate chain where everything is strictly by a manual. We do things a bit more informally here. Sometimes the kitchen is a bit slow or the wifi acts up, but we just deal with it as it happens. The neighborhood is mostly residential and quiet once you get off the main road. We’ve got some regular guests who have been staying with us for years whenever they come to Delhi. The rooms have their own quirks. We try to keep things clean and tidy, but it's an older building so it has some character. Working here means you never really know who is going to walk through the door next. It's a lot of work keeping a hotel running twenty-four hours a day, but we've got a decent rhythm going now. We just try to make sure everyone has a place to sleep.
