C-42 in Okhla Industrial Area Phase-II is where you’ll find us. Like most places in Phase-II, it’s a lot of grey buildings and narrow streets packed with vehicles. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a while, and it’s definitely an industrial setup through and through. There’s no showroom here, just a lot of space for cutting fabric and packing up boxes of clothes. The morning starts early before the sun gets too high, because once the afternoon hits, the whole area turns into an oven. We have a rhythm to our days, mostly involving checking shipments and making sure the machines are running right. It’s not the kind of place where you’d come to browse; it’s where the heavy lifting happens. We have some old wooden tables that have seen better days, but they’re sturdy enough for what we need. The noise of the neighboring units is just part of the background music for us now. We don’t put on any acts or try to look like something we aren't. We are just a team of people who know how to handle apparel and get it out the door. Sometimes the power goes out and we all just sit around and wait for the generator to kick in. That’s just life in Okhla. We keep moving and keep working because that’s the only way to get things done. We finish up when the last truck leaves the gate.
