D.Tarika Garments And Allied Products Llp is out in Dera Mandi at FH 10. It’s a bit of a drive to get out here to South Delhi, but it’s much quieter than the main city center. We have a good amount of space here, which is lucky for the kind of work we do. We use it for making garments and storing all the other products we handle throughout the week. It isn't a polished office with fancy furniture or glass partitions. We have some old wooden tables and metal racks that have seen better days but still hold up. The floors are plain concrete and they get quite cold in the winter months. We spend our days checking the stitching and making sure the counts are right before anything leaves the building. It’s a lot of manual counting, honestly. Sometimes the internet is slow because we are a bit further out from the main hubs, but we manage to get our emails sent eventually. Most of the people working here live nearby in the Dera Mandi area. We know each other's families and it feels more like a local workshop than a big company. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or expensive signs. Every bit of money goes back into the machines or the materials. If a machine breaks, we usually try to fix it ourselves first. It’s just how we operate. We’re just regular people making clothes in a quiet part of Delhi.
