Down in the Mehrauli area, specifically at H 5/3-5/4 on the ground floor of Kalka Das Marg, you will find Dolly J Couture Private Limited. Mehrauli is an old part of New Delhi, and it has a very different feel compared to the newer neighborhoods. The streets are a bit narrow and there is a lot of history all around us. Being in the village area means things are always moving and there is a lot of noise from the local shops and people walking by. Our workshop is on the ground floor, which makes it easy to move fabric in and out, but we are always fighting the dust from the street. We do a lot of detailed work here, and the lighting has to be just right so we don't miss anything. It is not a corporate setup with glass walls; it’s a real place with piles of cloth and people busy with scissors and needles. We have been at this location for a bit, and we have gotten used to the rhythm of Kalka Das Marg. The New Delhi-110030 area is quite unique, and we feel like we are part of the local fabric here. Every day is different, sometimes it’s quiet and sometimes it’s completely chaotic with deadlines. We just focus on the garments and making sure the work is solid. It’s a bit messy sometimes, but that’s just how it goes here.
