We are based out of B 19 186 in the GIDC Colony. It is a bit of an interesting spot since we are right on that edge between New Delhi and Haryana. The colony is mostly workers and small industrial units, so it is a very grounded place to be. Our building is a simple concrete structure. Inside, it is all business. We have rows of desks and a lot of metal filing cabinets that have seen better years. It is not the kind of place you would come to see something fancy. It is where the actual work gets done. We spend a lot of time on the phone and typing out reports. Most of the people working here have been with us for a long time. We know each other’s families and what is going on in the neighborhood. The area can be a bit gray and dusty with all the activity nearby, but we keep the inside as neat as we can. We are not big on speeches or fancy titles. We just show up, do the hours, and make sure the records are kept straight. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit and talk until the generator kicks in. It is just part of life here. We do not try to pretend to be something we are not. We are just a group of people working in a busy industrial colony, trying to keep everything running smoothly for the people we serve.
