Design 4 My Fashion

We are located in the lower ground floor at H- 60 in South Ex- 1. Being in a basement level means it stays a bit cooler during the Delhi summers, which is nice for us while we work. South Extension is a place where everyone is always in a hurry, but down here it’s a bit more focused on the sewing and the patterns. We spend a lot of time hunched over tables or checking the fit on a dummy. It’s not a huge space, so we have to be careful not to trip over each other when things get hectic. We have been doing this for a while now, and the routine is pretty much the same every day. We open up, check the notes from the day before, and start cutting or stitching. Sometimes the doorbell doesn't work right, so people have to knock a bit louder. We do all sorts of fashion work, mostly just whatever comes through the door or what we have planned for the week. The walls are covered in sketches and bits of fabric samples that we’ve pinned up over the months. It feels like a real workshop because that’s exactly what it is. We don't spend money on fancy decorations because we’d rather spend it on better tools or materials. It’s just us doing our thing in South Ex. We keep the kettle going for tea and just focus on the clothes.
