We are over at 44 A Okhla in the Jamia Nagar area of New Delhi. It’s a very busy part of town and the street outside our door is always full of activity and noise. Deolalikar Consultants Pvt Ltd is based here in this small unit. We’ve got a lot of files stacked up against the walls because we deal with a lot of paper every single day. The office is pretty basic with just the essential things we need to get our work finished. It can get a bit noisy with the traffic and the shops nearby but we’ve grown used to it over the years we have been here. The air conditioning works most of the time which is a huge relief during the Delhi summers when it gets unbearable. We usually have some snacks kept in the drawer for the afternoon slump. It’s not a place where you’ll find glass partitions or leather sofas for visitors. We just have simple wooden tables and chairs that do the job fine. We know the other people working in this building quite well. We often share a quick chat in the hallway or near the entrance while waiting for the elevator. Most of our work involves sitting at the desk for long hours and checking details. We don't have a huge staff so it's usually just a few of us here. It’s a very down-to-earth kind of place. We don't try to impress anyone with how the office looks. We just focus on the folders in front of us.
