About Daya Flour Mill – Food & Beverages in South Delhi
We’ve been here at Krishna Nagar for quite a while now. Most people around the Safdarjung Enclave area know the spot at 73/2. It’s just a regular flour mill where we grind wheat and other grains for the families who live nearby. The machines make a bit of noise, but that’s just how it is when you’re making fresh atta every day. My father started this business years ago, and I just kept it going because people always need flour for their rotis. We don't have a big office or anything fancy, just the milling equipment and some heavy sacks piled up against the walls. Sometimes the dust gets everywhere, so we are always cleaning up at the end of the shift. It is dusty work but someone has to do it. You see the same faces every week, people coming in with their own bags and waiting for their turn while the motor hums. It’s a small space, really. We try to keep the queues short, but in the mornings it usually gets a bit busy. We just focus on getting the grinding done right so the flour is smooth. We don't do much advertising, mostly just neighbors telling other neighbors about us. It’s a simple life here in the enclave. We deal with the local farmers for the grain and then process it right here on the premises. There isn’t much else to say about us, we just run the mill and try to stay helpful to the folks who live around the corner. If you walk past, you will likely smell the toasted grain.
