D S G Engineering Works

Our workshop is located at B-187 in Okhla Industrial Estate Phase I. It's an area where everyone is busy making things or fixing stuff. D S G Engineering Works has been operating out of this unit for some time now. When you come into Phase I, the roads are often blocked with trucks loading and unloading. Our place is like most others here, filled with the sound of machines and the smell of metal. We have high ceilings and heavy doors. It gets hot in the summer because of the machines running, but we keep the fans going. The floor is always a bit stained with oil or grease, no matter how much we try to sweep it. That is just the nature of engineering work. We aren't here to look pretty. It is about getting the parts made. There is a small office area tucked in the corner where we handle the paperwork and take calls. Most of the space is taken up by the equipment. We have been here in Okhla for a long time. You see the same faces every day. It is a tight-knit industrial community. Sometimes the power goes out, or the rain makes the road muddy, but the work doesn't stop. We just keep our heads down and focus on the tasks we have on the bench. It’s a loud place, but we like it that way. The guys from the unit next door often stop by to borrow a wrench. It's just a regular work day for us.
