Cronax Industries

Down here at 150 A/7 on the ground floor in Pul Peheladpur, things stay pretty steady. Cronax Industries is where we spend most of our daylight hours. It’s a practical space. We don’t have fancy carpets or decorations on the walls. Mostly just tools and whatever we are working on at the moment. The floor is concrete and it stays cool in the winter, which is nice, but it’s hard on the feet. We have a small corner for making tea and that’s basically our break room. People stop by to drop off materials or just to check on how things are coming along. We try to keep things organized but when you’re busy, stuff tends to pile up in the corners. The neighborhood is full of small businesses like ours, so there’s always a lot of movement. You hear the trucks backing up and the neighbors talking. We’ve been here long enough that we know the local chai stall owner by name. We aren't looking to change the world or anything like that. We just want to do the work right so we don't have to redo it later. It's a lot of standing and moving things around. Some days are longer than others, especially when a machine acts up. But we manage to get through it and lock up by evening. It’s a good way to make a living and it keeps us busy.
