Country Collection

Country Collection is tucked away at number 2 in Hauz Khas Village. If you know the area, you know it’s full of narrow lanes and old stone walls. Our place is quite small, but it holds everything we need for the day. We’ve been part of the village scene for a good bit of time. It’s a mix of tourists and locals walking past the door. We don't have a loud storefront. It’s more of a place where we sit and organize our collections. Sometimes we get distracted by the monkeys on the roof or the noise from the nearby cafes. It’s a lively spot to be. We don't follow a strict corporate manual here. We just open up, sweep the floor, and get to work. The walls are a bit uneven because the building is old. We deal with various items, mostly things we’ve collected over the years to sell. It’s not a high-pressure environment. We talk to people who wander in and explain what’s on the shelves. There’s no big sales pitch. We just like the things we have. The light in the village is nice in the evenings. We stay open until it gets dark, then we lock up the heavy wooden door. It’s a simple life in a busy part of the city. We’re just glad to have a spot here at number 2. The stairs are a bit steep, but you get used to them after a while. It has its own charm.
