We’ve been running Copal Research India Pvt Ltd out of this house in Katwaria Sarai for quite some time now. It is house number 131, right in the Chandgi Ram area near the IIT campus. It isn't your typical office building with glass walls and a fancy lobby. Instead, it’s a real house that we’ve turned into our workspace. This gives it a bit of a homey feel, though we are definitely busy with research projects all day long. The village atmosphere of Katwaria Sarai is something we’ve grown to love. You can hear the sounds of the neighborhood while we work on our reports. Sometimes the rooms feel a bit small when everyone is in at the same time, but we make it work. We have our desks crammed in where they fit and plenty of shelves for our files. We don’t go in for big mission statements or anything like that. We just show up every morning, make some tea, and get to work on the data we need to process. It’s a practical setup for people who just want to get things done without any extra fluff. Being near New Delhi 16 is handy for transportation too. Most of the folks who work here have their own favorite spots nearby for a quick lunch. We aren't trying to impress anyone with the building. We just focus on the research tasks we have on our plates every day.
