Comnet Exhibitions

Okhla Industrial Estate Phase III is a busy place to be, and our office is on the second floor at 217 B. We are Comnet Exhibitions, and if you come by, you’ll probably see a lot of boxes stacked up in the hallway. It’s an industrial area, so there is always the sound of trucks and machinery somewhere in the background. Our space is basically one big room with some partitions that don’t really block out the noise. We spend our time looking at layouts on screens and trying to figure out where the electrical lines will go for the next show. The stairs up to the second floor are a bit steep, so we all have strong legs by now. There is a small pantry where we make coffee, and it’s usually the busiest spot in the morning. We don’t have a receptionist or anything, so whoever is closest to the door usually just looks up and says hello. It’s a practical kind of place. The windows look out onto other factories and warehouses, which isn't much of a view but it reminds us that people are actually making things out there. We just sit here and do the paperwork and the planning that makes the exhibitions happen, trying to stay organized while everything around us is moving pretty fast. It’s messy and loud, but that’s just how things are in Okhla when you’re trying to get work done.
