Being in Lajpat Nagar means things are always busy around us. We are at C Ist 181, which is right in the thick of it in New Delhi. If you know this area, you know how crowded the streets can get with shoppers and cars and everything else. Our office for Citifinancial Consumer Finance India Ltd is tucked in there among all that noise. Inside, it is a bit quieter, but you can still hear the horns honking outside if the windows are open. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at computer screens. It is not the biggest office you have ever seen, but it works for what we do. There is a tea stall not too far away that we go to when we need a break from the paperwork. The furniture is a little old, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it feels lived in. We have our routines, and everyone knows what they need to do. People come in with questions about their accounts or to drop off some documents, and we just handle it one by one. It is a lot of administrative stuff, really. Delhi weather can be tough, either too hot or a bit chilly in the winter, but we just get on with it. It is just a normal workplace where we try to stay on top of the daily grind.
